Leadership Development Seminar debut; Fresh perspectives

Leadership Development Seminar 2023  was my first proper Leadership experience in AIESEC. I received a glimpse of that experience in my Winter Induction, but this surpassed my expectations. It was a day full of excitement, enthusiasm, and a wealth of knowledge. I was still adjusting to the AIESEC culture and grasping how the club operated. Therefore, from the onset, it was a new experience for me. This remarkable day marked its beginning with the exciting icebreaker sessions. These sessions helped me ease into the atmosphere of the day. They provided me the platform to interact with numerous members for the first time. While these sessions seemed like mere recreational games, I came to realize that they had more significance. That was because these games presented a chance to inspire a sense of leadership in everyone.

The Best of Both Worlds: Fun and Knowledge in Sessions

Afterwards, I was happy to partake in insightful presentations and speeches by AIESEC leaders and valued partners. I found these sessions to be exhilaratingly interactive. I found the session done by Unilever to be significantly interesting, specially because of the Marshmallow challenge. It provided a fun opportunity to improve our collaborative skills. As an introverted person, I found it surprising how actively I participated in the events. However, it was definitely delightful. The outbound training was undeniably enjoyable, filled with excitement and a friendly competitive spirit. One of the most memorable highlights of the day for me was the chili eating challenge. The relentless effort of the opposing team drove me to eat an unhealthy amount of green chilies. Despite consuming more chilies than I could handle, I genuinely enjoyed it.

Fueling Leadership throughout

My first Leadership Development Seminar experience was full of lasting memories. It turned out to be a truly transformative experience for me, as I found continuous inspiration throughout the day.  From listening to insightful speeches to slipping and falling in front of everyone, I enjoyed and learnt. It was my proper exposure to exclusive AIESEC culture. Moreover, the event showcased flawless organization, and the Organizing Committee’s kindness stood out. Furthermore, working collaboratively in teams undoubtedly fostered my personal growth. The network of relationships and the challenging environment, created space for leadership development. I hope to join future Leadership Development Seminars to both enhance my leadership skills and broaden my social network. I believe these opportunities are invaluable for the personal and professional growth of members.
