What is Silk Roads

Silk Roads is a virtual cross cultural initiative that brings AIESECers and non-AIESECers from around the globe to one common virtual space, to showcase their unique cultures to the global audience while expanding their knowledge about global issues.

The event will go on for 4 weeks including weekly challenges, informative sessions and fun activities created to bring out the best of creative, passionate and innovative individuals from different nationalities, with diverse backgrounds

Week 01

Global Trip

Global Trip

The first week is themed Global Trip where the delegates will be going on a virtual tour around the world to see mesmerizing destinations, discover mouth-watering cuisine, and explore the beauty of cultural diversity.

Week 02

Let's Chit Chat

Let's Chit Chat

The second week is named Let’s chit chat where the weekly challenge is to bring the current global issues into the spotlight. The team members have to arrive at one common opinion on what the most crucial issue is, discuss the severity of it, find feasible solutions for that issue and present them in a creative manner through a video. Renowned personalities who have taken initiatives to tackle these global issues will join for the live session of the week to inspire the delegates.

Week 03

Spread Positivity

Spread Positivity

The third week is named spread positivity where the weekly challenge is to make a positive impact on society through a small act of kindness that leaves a message to society. They can do something like planting a seedling or feeding an animal and post it on social media and take the idea they came up with to society. Famous individuals who left a positive impact on society will be there at the live session to direct the audience to take initiatives to spread positivity.

Be Global Be one

Be Global Be one

The fourth week is Be global Be one where the weekly challenge is meant to showcase that all of us are one even though we live in different corners of the world. Delegates have to bond over music which is the universal language of mankind and complete a roll call, record it and submit it as a video. AIESEC officials will grace the live session with their presence to incorporate AIESEC essence into the event.
