Leadership Development Seminar is one of the biggest conferences organized by AIESEC in University of Colombo with a history of 09 years. This time LDS was held for the 10th consecutive time, taking a different path this time. It paves the way for AIESECers to encourage themselves to take on challenges that would help awaken the leader within them. Those who participated may have witnessed that it was a way of addressing the membership of AIESEC in University of Colombo in a way that inspired everyone to a new vision. That is because the event was a physical conference with many sessions and activities focusing on developing and highlighting leadership skills while improving bonds.

Let’s see how the story begins. Fifteen young individuals were appointed to take forward LDS 100. The organizing committee, with president Mr. Denura Hemsara sowed the seeds of execution. Amidst the crisis within the country, the organizing committee executed the launch of LDS 10.0. Event Managers Avishka Hettiarachchi and Ovini Medagedara for LDS 10.0 with the Executive Board of AIESEC in University of Colombo gave guidance for conference planning.

Accordingly, LDS 10.0 came into realisation on the 17th and 18th of September. The beautiful venue Lavanga Resort and Spa in Hikkaduwa was decorated under the theme of Carnival for a genuine carnival experience. Nearly seventy of membership reached the location with beaming faces. The event consisted of various types of sessions. Outbound training was there to bring out the athlete in every member to face challenges, enhance the bond, and have fun. Another memorable moment in the event was the Theme Party. The attendees showered in music, rhythm, and dance. If you were at LDS this year, you would surely see and experience these beautiful and unforgettable moments. After two days with one night, the event wrapped up with thousands of life-changing experiences.

When talking about LDS 10.0, event partners cannot be left out. LDS 10.0 became a successful conference with tremendous support from them. Informatics (Pvt) Limited, ACCA Sri Lanka, and all the other collaborations should be thanked for joining hands with AIESEC in University of Colombo to create an impact on a set of future leaders through LDS 10.0.

Thus, Leadership Development Seminar ended successfully for the 10th time while adding another collage of memories for AIESEC in University of Colombo. By hearing feedback for this event, it can confirm that all efforts of the organizing committee of LDS 10.0 to create a space for members to discover their inner leader has not been in vain.
